AAF Space Coast Reaches Out to Business Community

As the advertising industry begins to strengthen across the various platforms, the local affiliate of the longstanding American Advertising Federation sees this as an opportune time to make a push to grow its membership by appealing to a broader base of businesses in the region.
The Space Coast Chapter of the American Advertising Federation has had a presence in this market for more than 25 years, long being the association known for bringing together area professionals within all facets of the industry. Chapter members represent advertising agencies, marketing firms, web–design businesses, print publications, video–production companies, promotional products retailers, information technology ventures, and other types of entities.

The AAF-SC has elected its incoming Board of Directors for the 2015-2016 year.
MELBOURNE, FL. JUNE 16, 2015 — In a unanimous vote at the non-profit’s annual membership meeting Tuesday evening, the membership elected and installed a board of five executive officers and six general board members, all local advertising industry leaders on Florida’s Space Coast.

Will Advertising Costs Remain a Deduction for Business?
Credible sources within the House Ways and Means Committee have recently confirmed that not only does limiting the deduction for advertising costs remain on the table for tax reform, but that the proposal could be even worse than we feared. According to our information the plan under consideration would require 50% of all advertising costs to be amortized over 10 years, and 50% deducted in the first year of the amortization schedule.
