the Bill Hill Scholarship Award

The Bill Hill Scholarship honors our first local AAFSC president and Silver Medal recipient. Each year, we award one one thousand dollar scholarship to a student who shows strong interest in advertising or a related creative field.

This scholarship supports students studying advertising, public relations, graphic design, marketing, media, communications, website development, or similar creative disciplines.

eligibility

Applicants must meet the following requirements –>

Be a full time student at a Brevard County high school, college, or university and be a U.S. citizen.
High school applicants must be in a course related to advertising, marketing, communication, film, website development, or a related field, and graduating in 2024.
College applicants must be in an upper division program in advertising, marketing, communication, film, website development, or a related track and graduating after the coming fall semester.
Applicants must complete the full application and provide all required materials.
Membership in AAFSC is not required but is recommended. Student membership dues are ten dollars per year.

what we look for

The selection committee reviews each application based on –>

Demonstrated interest in advertising or creative field
Personal statement
Sample of work (minimum one piece)
Academic standing (minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50)

what to submit

The be considered for the Bill Hill Scholarship Award, applicants must submit –>

A completed application form
Two letters of recommendation, including at least one from a teacher or school official
A sample of work (minimum one piece) in a related creative field
A current official academic transcript
A personal statement between two hundred fifty and five hundred words describing your advertising, creative, or marketing career goals
