The Silver Medal Award event has been postponed due to COVID. I guess networking isn’t back just yet.
The American Advertising Federation Space Coast is pleased to announce that Networking is BACK BABY!
Please join us as we toast the Space Coast’s newest Silver Medal Honoree on August 26th from 5:30-7:30 at the Landing Rooftop at Hotel Melby.
The Silver Medal Award was established by the American Advertising Federation in 1959 to recognize men and women who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and who have been active in furthering the industry’s standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern.
This award is the most prestigious award that the AAFSC can bestow upon a local community member. Silver Medal recipients are selected by a panel of judges from past Silver Medal winners.

Criteria to be selected for a Silver Medal:
- Contribution to His/Her Company – The recipient must have achieved success in one of the following areas of work: advertising agency, advertiser, media or advertising service
- Creative Ability – The recipient must have shown a consistent, high degree of original thinking in their field.
- Contributions to the General Advancement of Advertising – The recipient must have worked to increase the stature and raise the standards of the advertising profession.
- Contributions to the Community – The recipient should be someone who has been active in civic, religious, or other groups dedicated to human or social welfare.

ADA Website Compliance for You and Your Clients
What does ADA Accessible mean within the digital environments we use every day? Are you designing for access or creating digital barriers to occur that could have legal ramifications? Did you know that your PDF documents must also be ADA Compliant on your website? Our two-part series on May 18th and 19th will provide resources with tips for you to quickly become familiar with many web accessibility concepts including terminology with examples. The Americans with Disabilities Act turns 30 this year and the time has come for everyone to be proactive.

Learn the basics of affiliate marketing in this session with 20+ year industry veteran Jeannine Crooks.
A recent PriceWaterhouse Cooper study placed placed the ROI of an affiliate program at 12:1. In a $6 billion industry. Given this opportunity for incremental growth, could an affiliate program be right for your company? This session will examine the factors involved in adding an affiliate program to your marketing mix, including the different types of programs (in-house vs. affiliate networks) including costs and staff demands, affiliate recruitment, working with influencers, coupon, mass media publishers, and insights into what other major organizations did to sustain their businesses through difficult times. The session includes time for a Q&A period.
Speaker Bio:
As the Partner Acquisition & Development Manager with Awin US, Jeannine works closely with many of their largest programs such as Viator, Etsy, Motley Fool, and HP. She is a frequent speaker at numerous events including TBEX, SATW, CardCon and Affiliate Summit. Jeannine works with all types of publishers, especially bloggers, helping each to maximize their affiliate earnings. With 20 years in affiliate marketing, including 10 years at Awin, she is always happy to share her knowledge to help others succeed in the industry she loves.
Jeannine, her photographer husband Brad, and their Siberian Huskies, Cody and Hunter, live south of Denver. They travel as often as they can, especially for their new passion, dogsled racing.
