The AAF protects and promotes advertising at all levels of government through grassroots activities.
Our nationwide network monitors advertising-related legislation on local, state, and federal levels. We put our members face to face with influential lawmakers. We also encourage industry self-regulation to preempt government intervention.
Active Mission
Each year before and during the Florida Legislative Session the American Advertising Federation District 4 and the AAF Space Coast review proposed legislation that may affect the advertising industry. The Government Relations Chairpersons at the District 4 and Space Coast along with the AAF District 4’s part-time lobbyist are responsible for that review. The AAF Space Coast Government Relations Chair then coordinates with the membership prior to the legislative session to present the AAF District 4’s position on proposed legislation to the Senators and Representatives from Brevard County, and sometimes other Senators and Representatives in Tallahassee. This is done through emails, phone calls and personal meetings in both Brevard and Tallahassee.
If there are any issues important to the advertising industry that either should be changed in State law or proposed legislation that affects the advertising industry let your position be known to the AAF Space Coast’s Government Relations Chairman.

The American Advertising Federation Space Coast (AAF Space Coast), attended Ad Day in Tallahassee during a legislative committee meeting week, meeting with State Senators and Representatives to advocate for legislation important to the advertising industry.
